Welcome to the second installation of “The Five (a/k/a A Few Things I Am Loving Right Now)” which is a regular installment highlighting a few movies, books, recipes, art museum openings, fashion collections, dresses, hacks, Netflix shows and so on that are just making me happy and are worth noting and sharing.

The Lincoln Lawyer (on Netflix) – A continuation of the book and movie of the same name by the legendary criminal novelist Michael Connelly, The Lincoln Lawyer series on Netflix follows Los Angeles based criminal lawyer Mickey Haller on his criminal trials and personal tribulations as he conducts his robust criminal trial practice from the backseat of his various Lincoln cars. Mexican actor Manuel Garcia Ruffo plays the lead role of Haller and I simply love him in this role and firmly believe he fits the description of Haller as described in the book. Loved Season Two, and you can catch both Seasons (as well as the original movie with Matthew McConaughey on Netflix (now you know why Matthew McConaughey does all the Lincoln ads). Feather Dress – You had me at feathers. I look for a unique detail on every item of clothing I purchase. The addition of feathers to the sleeves (long sleeves too 😀) provides that perfect detail. This Birdie Paisley Floral Print Feathered Sleeve Dress has that detail. Part of @thenatnote x @antoniomelaniofficial collection for Dillards, this dress is now on super sale. The long sleeves make it a great transitional piece for all.

New Body Lotion Find – I traveled to see my parents recently and realized that I did not have any body lotion in my suitcase. Picked up this Nivea Soft Body and Hand Creme at CVS and I have loved it. So rich and creamy to the touch and makes my skin feel so soft. Stashed it in my carry on for the return trip home and have been using it daily ever since.

Killers of The Flower Moon – Written by the acclaimed author David Grann and adapted as a film which is directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio (scheduled to be released this fall), this nonfiction book Killers of The Flower Moon is a page turner (although depressing about how money can drive people to do horrible things). The book tells the story of a series of murders of the Osage tribe that took place in the early 1920s after large oil deposits were found on their land. Eventually, a young J. Edgar Hoover and the newly created FBI send in their best man to investigate. At the time of the murders, the Osage had the most wealth per capita in America due to those oil deposits and the money created from their sale. Intriguing read.
